Patricia A. (Patty) Volpe

Patricia A. (Patty) Volpe, age 91, of Masontown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, with her loving children at her bedside.

She was born in Masontown at her grandparents home on Monday, February 18, 1935, the eldest child of Joseph and Helen (Bodnar) Switch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan (Najoe) Volpe, and brothers; Joseph, Gerald, and Jerome (Jerry) Switch, and Sister-in-law; Janet Switch. Surviving are her children, Josephine Wilson, Joseph Volpe (Terri), Louis (Marcie) Volpe, and Regina Volpe; Sisters; Dolores Ramsey, and Yolanda Frammartino, Sisters-in-law Marge Switch and Dolores Switch. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was an election post worker for Nicholson Township District 3 for 30 years. She was a loving wife, the best mother, and an excellent cook who enjoyed making Hungarian and Italian dishes for her family. However, her greatest joy in life was being with her children, who will miss her more than words can express.

Her children would like to thank the Physicians and staff at Terrace Health and Rehab Center for the care they provided during her stay (especially, Stacey, Jen, Michelle, Darla, Sadie, Christy and so many others.)

Funeral services were private and under the direction of the Terravecchia-Haky Home for Funerals, 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa. 15461

Interment followed in St. Agnes Cemetery in Masontown, Pa. 15461

The family suggest memorial donations be made to a charity of one's choice, in Patty's name.
