Nancy D. Terravecchia, 101, of Newboro, Pa., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Beechwood Court in Uniontown.
Born on September 14, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore Georgiana and Lucia (Santore) Georgiana.
Nancy was born and raised in Uniontown, PA, where she was a graduate of Uniontown Area High School; she also was an employee of the Michael Berkowitz Factory, where she was an accomplished seamstress, and continued to use these skills throughout her life. During this same time, she was an organist at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. Following her marriage and move to Newboro, she was an active member of the former St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, where she was the organist at both the St Procopius and St. Thomas churches for 28 years. Nancy was a homemaker and avid baker, but above all, her greatest joy was the time spent with her entire family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Philip J. Terravecchia, son-in-law Barry D. Kovell, sisters, Rose, Laura and Marie Georgiana, all of Uniontown; brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Frank, Rudolph and John, all of Uniontown, and Samuel and Orlando, both of Massillon, Ohio.
Left to cherish her memories are children, Lucia Kovell, John Terravecchia and wife, Cheryl, Philip Terravecchia and wife, Susan, grandchildren; Tracey Thomas and husband Michael, John Terravecchia, Leslie Mavromatis and husband, Daniel, Christopher Kovell and wife, Ashlee, Matthew Kovell and wife, Tonya, Laura Shimko and husband, Brian, Daniel Terravecchia. In addition, great grandchildren, Nicholaus, Noah and Ashley Thomas, Cameron and Nikkos Mavromatis, Zachary, Jacob, Abigail, Charlotte, Giana, Luciana, and Mattaya Kovell, Wesley, Ella and Aubrey Shimko. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received in the Terravecchia-Haky Home for Funerals, 515 N. Main Street Masontown, PA on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 2 until 8 PM; and on Wednesday November 26, 2025 until 9:15 a.m., when prayers of transfer will be said. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 528 Footedale Road, New Salem, PA 15468.
Interment will follow in Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery.
