Michael Gabeletto, 67, of Fredericktown, PA., passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2026.
He was born on Tuesday September 2, 1958 in Killeen, TX., a son of Harry and Joanne (Tomko) Gabeletto, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, aunts, close friends, Dr. Mike Herbik, Ted Strong and Reg Zipko. He was especially close to his grandfather, Frank Tomko, and his godmother, Jean Durco.
Mike was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School Class of 1976 and also the Greene County Career and Technical Center. He owned and operated G and Z Heating and Air Conditioning and Gabby’s Market in Fredericktown, PA.
Mike was a mechanical genius and could fix anything. In his younger days, he was a champion marksman, earning the rank of Master and was most proud of his Presidents Hundred Award. He loved to go hunting out West with his buddies Po, Jack and Mike. Michael was an animal lover and adored his rescue cats.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Rose (Zavatchan) Gabeletto, Michael Gabeletto (Terri), siblings; Frank Gabeletto (Candace), Nicole Gabeletto, (Constance), brothers and sisters-in-laws, Ray and Cindy Zavatchan, Robert and Monica Solarchick, Randy and Karen Boyer, several nieces and several nephews, numerous cousins, especially the Durco sisters, and special friends Bob Burrie, Mariah and Brantley Parsons, and Dr. Evan Williams.
Friends will be received in the Terravecchia-Haky Home for Funerals, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Thursday May 7, 2026 from 6-8 p.m., Friday May 8, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday May 9, 2026 until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 528 Footedale Road, New Salem, PA 15468.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, 101 W Church Ave, Masontown, PA 15461 or Catnip Acres Veterinary Clinic 1159 Morris Street, Waynesburg PA 15370 Waynesburg, PA
