Mary Louise Lion née Boyle, age 94, of Uniontown Pa. passed away peacefully on December 26, at Uniontown Healthcare and Rehab, surrounded by her loving children.

Mary Louise was born in Philadelphia PA, graduated from West Catholic School for Girls, and was an ardent fan of Lasalle College Hockey.

The defining works of Mary Louise’s life were as wife to Walter and Mother to their 12 children. Mary Louise and Her husband Walter were Long and faithful members of the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church where they raised and educated their 12 children in the faith at St. John’s elementary and Senior high schools. Ever committed to service, Mary Louise remained active in the parish Christian Mothers and Jefferson clubs until her late 80s.

Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A Lion Jr., sons, Walter A Lion III and Robert E Lion, and her parents Daniel V Boyle, and Agnes (Grace) Boyle.

Mary Louise is survived by her children, Daniel Lion (Lynn) Fort Myers FL, Mary Louise Roberts (Joseph) Newark Del., Franz Lion, Patrick Lion (Carrie),Gerard Lion (Melanie) Fairview PA, Ann Marie Aloisio (Michael) Mt Pleasant PA., Regina Lion, Irvine CA., Elizabeth Januzzi (Karl) Harrisburg PA, Kathryn Reagan (David A Martin), Eric Lion (Tonia) West Hampton NJ., 22 Grandchildren , 23 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Friends will be received in the Baker-Terravecchia Funeral Home, Inc. 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. 15401 on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM and on Friday December 29, 2017 until 9:15 when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pa 15401 at 10 AM

Interment will be held in Mt Saint Macrina Cemetery.
