Judith (Judy) Louise Anker

Judith (Judy) Louise Anker (nee, Figulski), age 85, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, entered into the presence of her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 23, 2026. She was surely met there by her late husband, Martin J. Anker, who preceded her in death in August of 2017.

She was born in Turtle Creek Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Warren L. and Mildred (nee, Metcalf) Figulski.

Judith was a member of New Beginnings Full Gospel Church of Uniontown and was an Associate Pastor's wife for 20 years. She and her husband were the proprietors of Five Pines Campgrounds and the Quiet House Bed & Breakfast in Farmington, Pennsylvania. She loved her farmhouse in the Laurel Mountains.

Judy was grateful for many things, most importantly, her relationship with Jesus Christ. She and her husband gave their lives to the Lord in 1976 and never looked back. From the moment they met in grade school until he passed away, they were practically inseparable. When they weren't answering calls to help or pray for people, they were busy running their campgrounds and restaurant or welcoming people into their award-winnng Bed & Breakfast inside their home. Guests especially loved their breakfasts with Judy's secret French toast recipe.

Judy was an amazing cook and baker. She could throw fabulous meals together with what seemed like little effort. Her pies were arguably the best in the world.

Judy loved to laugh, and she loved being surrounded by family and friends. She had a great long-term memory and often reminisced about her lovely childhood, especially the early years with her grandparents while her father was a Marine in WW II and her mother was working in Pittsburgh as a "Rosie the Riveter". She cherished her parents and her three younger brothers.

She and Marty married young, just as he joined the Navy, and they continued growing up together and quickly started their own family. Judy loved her babies and her babies' babies. All of their special dates were fresh in her memory even until her final days. Their eternal salvation and health and happiness were what mattered most to her heart where they were concerned.

Judy navigated through vision loss and hearing loss in her later years but never lost her faith in God or blamed Him for anything that troubled her. She always stayed childlike in her faith in God's love for her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Judith was preceded in death by her siblings, Warren (Patty) Figulski: and Edward Figulski.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Tammy Pahel-Vogel (Scott), Martin Anker (Wanda), Sean Anker (Lisa), Ami Jo Anker; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Tom Figulski (Jim); several nieces, nephews, cousins, Eric Anderson, and close friends. The family wants to especially thank her caregiver, Catherine Guerrieri (Majoros), for her diligent care, support, and love.

Judy requested a non-traditional memorial service and a party with Jerry Onesi and The Allies of PA Band playing to celebrate her life. The weekend plans are as follows:

Memorial service is at 12 PM Saturday, September 19th at New Beginnings Church, 74 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown. Bishop Leonard Tucker is officiating.

Celebration of Life Party is 2 PM Sunday, September 20th at her most recent home in Uniontown (rain or shine).
