With deep sadness we announce the passing of Joseph F. Bartock Jr., on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 75 years young. Fondly known as JoJo by his precious mother, Viola and Rag Man by his work buddies.
Born August 29, 1950, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania he was a 1969 graduate of South Union High School and Roman Catholic by faith.
Joe battled vascular dementia with his beloved wife of 29 years, Linda as his caretaker constantly at his side.
He was member of the United Mine Workers of America and worked for Consolidated Coal at Robena Prep Plant operating heavy equipment and logged many miles driving tractor trailer.
Joe’s love of Christmas and his stellar displays were enjoyed throughout the years by carloads of visitors. He hosted Santa Claus himself to greet the many spectators passing by.
Joe loved his coffee, diet coke and sweets. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering around the yard and playing solitaire with his four-legged friend, Nika as his shadow.
You could always depend on one of Joe’s long stories for a good laugh – there were some great tales of yesteryear.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph F. Bartock Sr., and Viola "Vi" (Carbonara) Bartock, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survived by his treasured wife Linda (Vignali) Bartock; children Sherri Bartock DelSignore & Justin (Deanna) Bartock; siblings Roseann (John) Sloboda, Patty (Paul) Thomas, Fred “Buzzy” (Brenda) Bartock, Caroline (Rennie) Heavener and Michael (Susan) Bartock. Wife’s daughter, Kristin Mazzone and cherished granddog Nika. Along with several nieces & nephews, cousins and aunt.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 61 North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pennsylvania. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
