Freda Hospodavis

Freda M. Hospodavis, age 94, of Masontown, Pa, passed away on Friday December 14, 2018. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was born on Sunday January 6, 1924 a daughter of Joseph and Mari (Repos) Elnikar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph A. Hospodavis, son Joseph P. Hospodavis, daughter Patricia A. Hospodavis, brothers; Edward Elnikar Sr., Stanley Elnikar, Joseph Elnikar, sisters; Millie Yanosh, Louise Raho and Edna Zalar.

Freda was a lifelong member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help St Mary Roman Catholic Church Leckrone, currently a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, PA.

She was a wonderful mother and a dedicated homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and an excellent baker.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Freda Mae Hospodavis with whom she made her home, Patrick D. Hospodavis and his wife Marie, grandsons, Ryan Hospodavis, Nicholas Hospodavis all of Harrisburg, PA. and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Terravecchia-Haky Home for Funerals, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Monday December 17, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m.; and on Tuesday December 18, 2018 until 9:30 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown PA, with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
