Anna Marie Fleming

Anna Marie Fleming, 92, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Friday August 22, 2025, in WVU Uniontown Hospital.

She was born on Monday July 10, 1933 in Uniontown, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Kragcier) Zapotosky.

Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harry P. Fleming.

She was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and spent many years employed with Anchor Hocking Cap Closure and Glass Company in Connellsville, PA. A true entrepreneur, she owned and operated her own beauty salon, gift shop, and ceramics studio, and was also a licensed teacher.

Following her retirement, she continued to share her love of learning and compassion through the Foster Grandparent Program, affiliated with Wesley in Pittsburgh, PA. Since 2006, she volunteered her time helping to teach and nurture children between the ages of 3 and 5 at the Asbury Christian Preschool in Uniontown.

Her life was filled with music and creativity. She played both the accordion and organ, performing with several local bands. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and was a passionate bingo enthusiast.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: David Fleming and his wife, Janine, of Uniontown, PA; Kevin Fleming and his wife, Susan; and her grandchildren, Cameron, Mackenzie, and Delaney of Apex, NC. She is also survived by her cousin, Kathryn Baranek.

Friends will be received in the TERRAVECCHIA-HAKY HOME FOR FUNERALS, INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, PA, on Thursday August 28, 2025 from 2-4 p.m., & 6-8 p.m., and on Friday August 29, 2025 until 9:15 a.m., when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA 15401 at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
