George Yankulic, 92, of Adah, Pa., passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 21, 1927 in Edenborn, Pa., son of Charles and Mary Yankulic.
George was preceded in death by his parents, wife Michalina "Lena" Yankulic, siblings John, Charles Jr., Mary, Kathleen, Ann, Paul and Pete.
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Parish in Leckrone, and later St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Masontown. He worked at both Robena and Maplecreek Coal Mines. He served his country with The United States Navy in World War II, and was a member of The American Legion Post 423 of Masontown. George had an enormous heart, his primary concern in life was to shower his entire family with his great generosity.
Left to cherish his memory is his, daughter Mary Ann Vicinelly and her husband Raoul, grandchildren Michelle Johnson and her husband Christopher, Janelle Cosnotti and her husband Charles, great grandchildren Alexandria Bakos and her fiancé Logan Spiker, Alaina Cubbage, Frankie Lena Cosnotti and great great grandsons, Neil Alexander Bakos and Dane Christopher Bakos, sister Julie Petula, he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received at the Terravecchia-Haky Home for Funerals, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Thursday November 21, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.; and on Friday November 22, 2019 until 10:30 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown PA.
Interment will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
